Meet your local pet sitter in St Pete FL

Hello, my name is Hannah! Originally from a small town in Michigan, about an hour outside Ann Arbor, I’ve had the opportunity to live in six different states and even another country! I’m a recent graduate from Coastal Carolina University, where I majored in marine science, and I recently moved to the beautiful St. Pete area. When I’m not working at Old Navy, I volunteer at both The Florida Aquarium and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, where I get to connect with marine life up close. In my free time, you’ll likely find me at the beach, swimming, scuba diving, or hunting for shark teeth. I also enjoy arts and crafts, especially crocheting and drawing!

With a background that includes experience as a zookeeper, aquarist, and neighborhood pet sitter, I’m well-prepared to care for pets of all kinds. Growing up, I cared for a variety of dog breeds, from bullmastiffs to pugs, which taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and the unique needs of different pets. While I don’t currently own any pets, I would love the chance to spend time with new furry friends here in St. Pete. As a pet sitter, I’m dedicated to ensuring pets stay active, happy, and engaged. My love for animals—especially dogs and birds—along with my active lifestyle, means your pets will enjoy plenty of exercise and enrichment with me as their pet sitter!

Benefits of pet sitters in St Pete, FL

Reduced Travel Stress for Pets: A local pet sitter allows pets to stay in the comfort of their own home, eliminating the stress of travel and unfamiliar environments.

Maintained Routine: A local pet sitter can stick to your pet’s familiar schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime, which is especially comforting for pets in St. Pete’s warm climate.

Personalized Attention: Unlike boarding facilities, a local pet sitter provides one-on-one care, adapting to each pet’s unique personality and needs.

Knowledge of Local Vets and Services: A local sitter knows the area and can quickly access nearby veterinary services or pet-friendly parks in case of an emergency or for added fun.

Home Security: Having a pet sitter visit your home not only cares for your pet but also provides an extra level of security, giving your home a “lived-in” look while you’re away.

Less Exposure to Illness: Staying at home reduces your pet’s exposure to other animals, minimizing the risk of contracting illnesses that are common in boarding facilities.

Accommodates Special Needs: Local pet sitters can provide the dedicated time and attention needed for pets with unique needs, whether it’s administering medication or extra support for senior pets.

Flexibility for Last-Minute Needs: A local pet sitter can often accommodate last-minute requests, offering peace of mind for busy schedules or unexpected trips.

Support for Multiple Pets: For households with multiple pets, a local sitter is a cost-effective option, as they can care for all pets in one visit without additional fees.

Familiarity with St. Pete’s Climate: A local sitter understands St. Petersburg’s heat and humidity, ensuring your pets are comfortable and safe, whether it’s through keeping them cool indoors or taking them on shaded, short walks.
